Does it hurt?

We do use topical anesthetics during all of our Semi-Permanent Makeup procedures. Although our clients, on average report minimal pain, 1/10 - 5/10, this all depends on the individual's ability to numb. We have had clients fall asleep during procedures from how relaxed they are & some clients who choose to opt out of using anesthetics.

How long does it last?

Results typically last 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and aftercare. Most clients return for a refresh once the pigment fades.

What is permanent eyeliner?

Permanent eyeliner is a cosmetic tattoo applied along the lash line to enhance eye definition. It can be ultra-subtle (lash line enhancement) or more defined (classic eyeliner), depending on your preference and eye anatomy.

Are results guaranteed ?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee results. Although most individuals can get the brows they've always wanted. There can be unforeseen circumstances that can arise with Permanent Makeup Procedures. Some people do not heal properly or reject the procedure and this is not to the fault of the individual or PMU Technician.

Do you have other colors other than black?

We typically have traditional black and brown colors, however, if you'd like a different color we can have it available by request.

Do you use Tattoo pigment for Permanent Makeup?

Accepted Answer

No. Permanent makeup pigments are not the same as tattoo pigments. They are designed with smaller particle size which allow them to gradually fade over time.

Is there anything I should know before the service?

We do require and recommend each client who is interested in any permanent makeup procedure to read the “Brow Quiz” page and Aftercare page to learn what to expect. There is a list of contraindications that will prevent an individual from getting the procedure done. If you have any questions about if you would be eligible to get the procedure done, please feel free to either book a video consultation OR email/message us to discuss your questions. It is vitally important that you disclose with us your medical conditions and/or medications (prescribed or over the counter) that you may be taking.

Will it look natural?

Yes — when done correctly. Our goal is enhancement, not harsh makeup. Most clients choose results that make their lashes look fuller and their eyes more awake without obvious eyeliner. If you'd prefer a dramatic eyeliner look, that may be possible depending on your eye shape and eyelid spacing.

What’s the difference between lash line enhancement and classic eyeliner?

Lash line enhancement is placed directly between the lashes for a soft, barely-there look.

Classic eyeliner sits slightly above the lash line for more visible definition. Both are fully customizable.

Is a touch-up required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A perfecting session is usually done, if needed, 6–8 weeks after your initial appointment to adjust pigment retention and ensure balanced results.

They are not included in the initial session.

What is the healing process like?

Accepted Answer

Healing is generally quick. Mild swelling or tenderness may occur for 24–48 hours. The eyeliner will appear darker initially and soften as it heals over the next 7–10 days.

Can I wear makeup after my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Eye makeup should be avoided during healing (typically 7–10 days). We’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions to support proper healing and long-lasting results.

Do I need to stop lash serums before eyeliner tattooing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lash serums — especially those containing prostaglandins — must be discontinued 6 weeks prior to your appointment, as they can affect healing and pigment retention.

Can I get eyeliner tattoo if I wear contact lenses?

Accepted Answer

Yes — but contacts must be removed before your appointment. Please bring glasses to wear after your service.

Can I get eyeliner tattoo if I have lash extensions?

Accepted Answer

Lash extensions must be removed prior to your eyeliner appointment and can be reapplied after the skin has healed in 2–3 weeks.

Will my eyeliner change color over time?

Pigment naturally softens and fades over time. With proper technique and pigment selection, eyeliner heals beautifully without turning harsh or unnatural.

Can I change the shape or thickness during a refresh?

Minor adjustments may be possible depending on your existing pigment. Significant changes may require a new eyeliner service. This will be discussed during your consultation.

Most clients can expect their eyeliner tattoo to last several years, but the exact timeline depends on your skin, lifestyle, aftercare, sun exposure, medications, skincare, and how bold or subtle your liner is.A soft lash enhancement may fade more subtly, while a thicker eyeliner tattoo may stay visible longer. Think of it as low-maintenance, not no-maintenance — because we are not tattooing with a Sharpie and hoping for the best.Most clients eventually need a color boost or refresher to keep the eyeliner looking crisp and fresh.

It gives that “I woke up looking more put together” effect without looking like obvious eyeliner.Before we start, we talk about your eye shape, skin, lifestyle, makeup habits, and what will actually age well — because what looks cute today also needs to look good years from now. That part matters.

Permanent eyeliner is generally safe when it is performed by a trained, experienced cosmetic tattoo artist using proper sanitation, sterile single-use needles, high-quality pigments, and safe technique.That said, it is still a tattoo near your eyes, so it needs to be taken seriously. This is not the service to bargain hunt for. Your eyes deserve better than “my cousin’s friend has a ring light.”Before booking, we review your health history, medications, contraindications, eye conditions, allergies, previous permanent makeup, and whether you are a good candidate. Certain conditions, recent eye surgeries, active infections, uncontrolled medical issues, or specific medications may mean we need to wait or avoid the service altogether.Safety comes first. Pretty eyeliner is the bonus.

What is a lash enhancement tattoo?

A lash enhancement tattoo is the most subtle and natural type of permanent eyeliner.Instead of creating a thick eyeliner look above the lashes, pigment is placed very close to the lash line to create the appearance of fuller, darker lashes. It softly defines the eyes without looking overly made up.This is a great option for clients who:Want natural-looking permanent eyeliner Feel like their eyes disappear without mascara Have sparse or light lashes Want to look more awake without daily makeup Don’t want a dramatic eyeliner look Want something soft, clean, and timelessA lash enhancement tattoo is basically the “quiet luxury” version of permanent eyeliner. She’s subtle, but she’s doing the work.

Can mature skin get permanent eyeliner?

Yes, mature skin can absolutely get permanent eyeliner, but the approach may need to be softer and more customized.As we age, the eyelid skin can become thinner, looser, more textured, or more delicate. That does not automatically mean you cannot have eyeliner tattooed, but it does mean the design and technique matter a lot.For mature skin, I usually recommend a softer lash enhancement or delicate eyeliner rather than a thick, heavy line. The goal is to enhance the eyes in a way that looks flattering, fresh, and natural — not harsh or dated.During your consultation, I’ll assess the eyelid skin, elasticity, texture, vascularity, and overall eye shape to determine what is realistic and safe. Sometimes less is more, and with eyeliner, less can be gorgeous.

What if I already have permanent eyeliner?

If you already have permanent eyeliner, we’ll need to assess it before deciding what can be done.Existing permanent makeup can affect the final result, especially if the color has faded unevenly, turned blue/gray, migrated, or was placed too thick or too far outside the lash line. Sometimes we can refresh or enhance the existing eyeliner, and sometimes correction may be limited depending on the condition of the old work.A consultation is the best first step so I can look at the color, shape, saturation, placement, and skin condition. If the previous eyeliner is too dark, too thick, or migrated, adding more pigment may not be the best option.My goal is not to just tattoo over old work and hope for the best. We want your eyeliner to look better, not more complicated.
