Lash Lift + Tint Care x
What Is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is like a perm for your natural lashes.
Instead of adding extensions, your own lashes are gently lifted from the root to create the appearance of longer, fuller, more open eyes.
When paired with a lash tint, your lashes also appear darker and more defined, reducing the need for mascara.
How Long Does a Lash Lift or Tint Last?
Most lash lifts last:
4–8 weeks depending on:
-
your natural lash growth cycle
-
aftercare
-
skincare routine
-
exposure to heat
-
how often you rub your eyes
The tint typically begins fading after 2–3 weeks.
Before Your Appointment
-
Remove all eye makeup, contact lenses, and false eyelashes before your appointment
-
Avoid curling your natural lashes for at least 24 hours prior to treatment
-
Stop using waterproof mascara 48 hours before your procedure since it leaves behind unwanted residue
-
Clients with an eye infection, like pink eye, need to wait until it has cleared prior to treatment
-
Avoid Stimulants: Caffeine has the potential to make your eyelids flutter or twitch, which could disrupt the application process.
-
Before the lash lift or tint procedure, please take out your contact lenses to avoid any discomfort.
The First 48 Hours Matter Most
The great thing about a Lash Lift is that it is a very low maintenance treatment however, there is a little extra care required over the first 24-48hrs.
-
Be gentle with your lashes; no rubbing.
-
Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 hrs.
-
Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes.
-
Use of Sauna/Steam is possible after 24hrs but may weaken the effect of the lift.
-
No eye make up for 24 hours.
-
Avoid waterproof mascara’s.
-
Swimming should be avoided for at least 24hrs.
-
No other facial beauty treatments for 24hrs.
DAY 1:
-
Do not touch or rub your eyes, eyelashes, or eyebrows immediately after the treatment.
-
If redness or irritation occurs apply a cool damp cotton compress to the eye area.
-
If symptoms persist for more than 24 hours seek medical advice
-
Do not sleep on your face.
DAY 2:
-
Avoid hot water or steam on the face or near the eyes.
DAY 3 & continuously:
-
Please refrain from all attempts to rub the eyes or lashes.
-
Using oil based products or any conditioning treatments/ serums on the lashes. This will cause the Semi-permanent mascara &/or tint to dissolve faster.
-
Effects of the tint will start to diminish within 2 to 3 weeks as hair grows out and the tint color fades.
-
Strong sunlight/UV light can make the tint color fade faster– Use a gentle foaming facial cleanser or eye makeup remover and avoid exfoliating cleansers or products containing AHA’s and oil
-
Avoid exposing your lashes to high temperatures from ovens, hairdryers, and saunas as it can soften the lash shape.
-
Use a nourishing serum or conditioner to maintain their strength, flexibility, and overall health.
Immediately After Your Appointment
Immediately After
Your lashes may feel:
-
slightly stiff
-
more defined
-
darker (if tinted)
This is completely normal.
Day 1
Avoid touching them.
Avoid rubbing.
Keep them dry.
Day 2
Continue avoiding steam and excessive heat.
Day 3+
Resume your normal routine while continuing to avoid rubbing your lashes and using oil-heavy products directly on them.
Your Lash Lift Doesn’t End When You Leave the Studio
A lash lift gives your natural lashes a beautiful curl—but your natural lashes still deserve a little TLC. That’s why I love recommending our Set & Go Lash Serum.
Think of it like conditioner for your lashes.
Just like the hair on your head, your lashes are exposed to makeup removal, sleeping, rubbing your eyes, and everyday wear and tear. A conditioning serum helps keep them looking healthy, soft, and flexible between appointments.
It’s not required—but if you want to get the most out of your natural lashes and support long-term lash health, it’s one of my favorite at-home products to recommend.
How to Make Your Lash Lift and Tint Last Longer
-
Sleep on your back when possible.
-
Avoid rubbing your eyes.
-
Use gentle cleansers.
-
Avoid excessive heat.
-
Brush your lashes occasionally.
-
Keep lashes conditioned with an appropriate nourishing serum
What Happens if the Lash Lift Gets Wet?
Should your lash lift become wet within the initial 48 hours, it can impact the curl and duration of the lift. Promptly dry them and refrain from additional moisture. If they lose their curl or the lift is compromised, wait at least one month before scheduling a repeat treatment.
